Network maintenance (firmware change) at 12.03.2024, 04:30

We will be carrying out a short maintenance on our corerouting infrastructure on 12 March 2024, starting at 04:30. As part of this maintenance, the installed firmware will be changed on both corerouters to address some bugs that occur in the currently installed firmware versions. We expect a short interruption of less than one minute. The maintenance work should be completed by 6:00.

VPS Nodes Host02 - Unplanned Reboot

We have just had to carry out an unscheduled restart of the host02 node (Dual AMD Epyc 75F3) at 09:16, as we have unfortunately run into a software bug on this node that affects LXC vServers. We apologize for this and thank you for your understanding.

Fiber-Connection to FRA Outage - Datacenter Fiber Connection to FRA

Today at 13:43 a failure of the fiber optic line to Frankfurt (FRA) was detected. All connections via this line were interrupted for a few seconds until an automatic rerouting took place.

There is no impact currently, the traffic is routed via other paths transparently, but we will monitor the situation and give updates on this page. The reasons for this are unclear at this moment. The datacenter is currently clarifying the exact reasons together with the provider of this transport line.

  • Since 02:13 the transport line to Frankfurt is up again. We have enabled BGP sessions with peering partners / carriers in Frankfurt, traffic is flowing via usual paths again. Problem was probably related to a fibercut.
