Today there were partial disruptions in our network from around 03:00. This affected several dedicated servers and also three VPS nodes. Unfortunately, due to inadequate alerting solutions for this case, we only became aware of this problem at a late stage, which unfortunately led to a longer resolution time.
The cause of the problem was a JunOS bug that made 4x access switch bundles unavailable. Unfortunately, it took some time to analyze the problem.
We hereby apologize to all affected customers for this outage and offer each affected customer a 3-day credit. At the same time, we will completely revise our alerting solutions for such cases in order to become aware of such problems more quickly.
