Core-Network Network problems caused by problems with datacenter fiber connections

Unfortunately, there was a network disruption starting at around 16:40 due to a failed dark fiber line from the data center to Amsterdam. In response, we routed all traffic via Frankfurt as the remaining capacity to Amsterdam was insufficient. Unfortunately, after some time there was also a capacity bottleneck on the line to Frankfurt, which unfortunately led to major problems. The problems have now been resolved - the data center's dark fiber line to Amsterdam is still disrupted, but we are not affected by this.

We sincerely apologize for this and offer all customers a 2-day runtime credit because to this problem.

Fiber-Connection to FRA Outage - Datacenter Fiber Connection to FRA

Today at 22:01 a failure of the fiber optic line to Frankfurt (FRA) was detected. All connections via this line were interrupted for a few seconds until an automatic rerouting via Amsterdam (AMS) took place.

There is no impact currently, the traffic is routed via Amsterdam transparently, but we will monitor the situation and give updates on this page. Apparently this was caused by unannounced maintenance from the provider of the transport line to Frankfurt. The datacenter is currently clarifying the exact reasons.

  • Since 23:55 the fiber optic line to Frankfurt is online again and everything is running over the usual paths again. We apologize very much for this problem and thank you for your understanding.

    Core-Network Network interruption due to massive carpet bombing ddos attacks

    At 21:45 there were network interruptions due to major Carpet Bombing DDoS attacks (like they already appeared 5 days ago). Unfortunately, the mitigation of this attack took a short time, resulting in packet loss. Everything is now stable and we are continuing to monitor it. We will also work on a faster way to mitigate this type of attack. We sincerely apologise for these problems.
